What's great about it: easy to use, can do several returns on the same one
What's not so great: have to pay to efile state taxes, additional steps required to pay state taxes

TurboTax 2015 - Premier

I have been using Turbo Tax for over a decade. A couple years ago I tried another brand and ended up junking it and purchasing Turbo Tax. My taxes are involved but I've never encountered a situation Turbo Tax couldn't handle. Only once, in all these years, did I discover an error in the State Step-by-Step narrative which was easily corrected once I went to Forms to double check my work, which I always do. This is great software that doesn't disappoint. I do think that securities reporting should still be in the Deluxe edition and not require an upgrade to Premier....but that's just me trying to save some cash.
What's great about it: Ease of use, Comprehensive & Help Resources
What's not so great: Too Expensive

Good Product for most part

As stated above, good product in that it easily guides you and imports previous year's info. However, as also noted above, product did not know that my pension on the PA State income tax form was not taxable, and initially showed that I owed tax on that, which I manually corrected.

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Premier

I think that folks buy premier and also home and business just for the kind of transaction complexity that is occasionally run into. I think that this product really needs to handle AMT better and their should be a deeper set of layered questions available to run through. A good example would be to integrate the detail required in the AMT estimator within the application rather than have to reach out to help for it...

Used TurboTax this year after years of doing it

After doing my taxes for the last 5 years using nothing but the paper forms and instructions, the TurboTax software would've been easier to understand what figures they were asking for by describing where or how the figure was going to be used in relation to the form and line number. this is only a benefit for novices with more complicated tax returns and I understand that most people do not need (nor want) this. However, there should be an option, especially in the higher end TurboTax Software (not the basic that utilizes the common forms alone).
What's great about it: Quicker method with question based format
What's not so great: Explanations and locations of where figures are going in tax forms (or how they are being used)
