Turbo Tax has got it covered this year.

Decided to go the Turbo Tax way since we no longer live in a state with excessive tax rules( NY) Made filing 1040 an ez process.
What's great about it: Informative on each deduction
What's not so great: Can be frustrating reading each allowed rule.

Have been using TurboTax for a number of years and find it always delivers. Easy to use, tranfers previous years info to help get that jump start for the present tax year. This is the first time i have used the transfer of investment income. That was a great time saver and assures accuracy.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Walks you through each and every step.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

No surprises- except that I needed my Drivers License- but I understand the security requirement and it makes good sense.

Overall turbotax did it again. However the IRA section was a little difficult to understand with Roth vs regular deductions and contribution limits. Could improve.
But I will use again.

What's great about it: Guided me through the process...another year done

Been using Intuit TurboTax for about 17 years and will continue to use this form tax help. I have never had a problem with this application .
What's great about it: Makes filing your Federal Taxes easy !
What's not so great: What we use to do on the Deluxe, we now have to do on the Premier, which of course cost more.

Fed Great, PA so so

As always, TT does a great job with Federal taxes...thank you.
Then there is the state. You make sort of a big deal about one state being free, but the user experience on the (PA) portion is junk compared to the Federal side. Before you issue next year's version, please pay a little more attention to the PA UX
What's great about it: Love the Federal return
What's not so great: PA return feels like it was written in DOS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
