transfer of state carryover capital loss

The loved the questions features, it covered everything that pertains to all kind of situations and you don't really need to be a tax expert to be able to finalize the tax return. The e-file is so user friendly, it removes the stress in filing income tax return.
What's great about it: You do not have to be super knowledgable in preparing income tax, the program is so user friendly and covered everything
What's not so great: It just took too long to install

Easy completion.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. With tax filing becoming more and more complicated, especially when involving stocks and real estate sales, using the features in the Premier edition have made light out of complicated work. It is worth the expenditure and might even teach you a few things to better prepare you for future filings.
What's great about it: Well executed. Makes facilitates filling extremely well.
What's not so great: More clarity and easier find needed on stock sale reporting

Have used Turbo Tax for many years with good and not so good results, but I will continue to use this product and recommend it to others.

State refund entries caused erroneous results

I made state refund entries (actually payments). and wound up with erroneous impacts to the tune of four times my state payments last year. To correct, I had to go into forms and make corrections. Took more thinking than a product of this caliber should require.
And, my advice, always print the forms and review carefully to make sure everything "makes sense:.

Earlier TTax years seem to have more instructions and how to find things.
Cost is getting high; may go to cheaper tax s/w next year.
