the common man method

this program can be used by any lay person to complete their returns. the program anticipate any questions which may be of concern to the user and answer that issue before it is asked. outstanding software for any user.
What's great about it: outstanding program for everyone to use, easy to follow with step by step instructions.
What's not so great: small delays between sceems

premium version really helps with stocks and bonds

The bottom line is that once you get into complex tax items you need to have a significant amount of knowledge about how to file your information. TT definitely helps by getting all the info into the right forms but do not expect it to show you how to do something complex step by step. Nothing can substitute for the needed complex knowledge required. TT allows me to complete these items in a couple of hours as opposed to days in the past.
What's great about it: premium easy to use
What's not so great: premiuim version easy to use if you already know what you are doing

What's great about it: Easy to use, complete, thorough, low chance of audit
What's not so great: Slight confustion with state return payment

What's great about it: Easy to use. A lot of the data entry is done via downloads or transfers from the previous year.
What's not so great: I have not been able to delete the reference to a partnership that I have not had for years.

Deleted the file accidentally

Need an easy way to save the file without going to "file" and "save as". Somewhere it asked if I wanted to save the data and I said "no". I wiped out a whole evening of work. Need an obvious "save" that does more than update the data, but saves the entire file. It should not be easy to wipe everything out. I'm probably not being clear.
I've used TurboTax for years. It works well most of the time.. Thanks.
