eFile Failure
on February 23, 2016

After thorough review of issues, eFile still will not work. Gets error that Turbotax needs update but none available. Was told that making entry on a form disables eFile capability - no warning of that even though I have used this before. Was told to do new return using step by step method and eFile would work - STILL WILL NOT eFile.
What's not so great: Failure to eFile due to error.

Turbo Tax should build the cost of eFiling my state return into the product cost...
What's great about it: Easy to use software
What's not so great: Why do I have to pay to file my state return

Something not quite right

I've used TT for years. This yr I wasn't prompted for W2 forms as before. 1099R forms 'downloaded', but were missing info. They somehow doubled during the course of completing my taxes. I had to go back and re-do much of the 1099Rs, removing extra references. I just hope I caught all the mistakes made by TT
What's great about it: Easy to complete and review
What's not so great: Issues w/W2s and 1099Rs

Speedy Submission

It always takes a while to gather my information for deductions, but once I had it gathered, filling out the forms was straight-forward. Downloading information from my financial institution really helps because TurboTax and Institution understand each- other much better when I don't get in between, and it happens almost instantly.
What's great about it: clear explanations, direct input from financial institution
Pros: I bought or sold investments

It seems that Turbotax gets a little more user friendly each year. I no longer dread the Ides of April.
What's great about it: Like a friend walking me through it
What's not so great: none really
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
