Have used Turbo Tax for years

I started using Turbo Tax when I noticed the tax preparer that I was paying a lot money used Turbo Tax. I realized I could do it myself. I have two states to file in and rental income/expenses. It took me around two hours to do my taxes this year.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions. Can move info from last year into this year (unless you have a new computer).
What's not so great: Taxes can be confusing no matter what.

This continues to be our 'go to' method. There are so many pitfalls out there and we still trust TurboTax.

due to a bug with turbo tax and importing info I could not finish my returns and send out, but that info on bug was found after 5 hours on phone with 2 separate departments. the help prior to finding info on bug was outstanding in every way. never once did I become overwhelmed or frustrated with running into road blocks, I am a person with little patience and the techs I dealt with absolutely kept me from losing it. if I had a company of any nature that need a tech dept. I want employees just like the ones that helped me. they deserve high praise from their bosses. workers like that are hard to find and certainly must be kept.

Would recommend to anyone that is confident with their own personal tax receipts.
What's great about it: Questions were easy to follow
What's not so great: some of the fill-in box titles were not adjacent to the actual fill-in box which made me a little unsure

Liked the amount of detail & depth in questions
Love the cumulative effect tracked in the ribbon at the top
Like the offer of offering to help with tax planning
Love the fact that Turbo Tax automatically determines whether you are subject to AMT or not
Good value for the price
What's great about it: Turbo tax leads you through each section individually giving you the opportunity to enter all applicable data points
What's not so great: Investments are now available with the Premier vs Deluxe version so it's extra money upfront for the software-2014 chg

Solid Tax Software for Complex Tax Situations

Turbo Tax walked me through (yet again) a complex tax year. I was able to do my and my daughter's taxes in a couple of hours once I had all of the paperwork assembled. Being able to pop into form mode allows you to quickly make minor corrections. And the guided process is very easy to use.
The interface is good, although they could improve by putting the "next topic" button at the top of the screen so you don't have to scroll down.
It would be good to add a screen that lets you enter a summary version of a 1099-B for a brokerage account. I have had issues uploading .TXF files (this year it was missing the wash sale flag, but I blame the brokerage not Turbo Tax).
What's great about it: Generally easy to use
What's not so great: Minor difficulties with investment uploads
