Love TurboTax

TurboTax really does make doing taxes much easier, and it's thorough. I've been using it for years because I can file confidently that all my bases are covered.

Turbo Filer

I have used Turbotax for about 5+ years. It takes the pain out of all the paperwork required to file taxes. The step by step approach to walking your through the tax forms is very helpful.
What's great about it: The ease of use and the step by step approach to walking you through the return
What's not so great: Investments are sometimes difficult depending on what investments firms file in their 1099's
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Improvements made and improvements needed

I've used the product for nearly a decade. An important improvement made this year is that it is no longer as difficult to print and mail state returns rather than pay the filing fee. I really like the product except for their pricing policies. Software costs for extra state returns and for state e-filing are excessive in my opinion. If it were not for this problem I would be very comfortable recommending the product.
What's great about it: Once loaded it works well, easy to use and very complete.
What's not so great: Software difficult to download, state e-file charge excessive/

Have used TurboTax for a number of years. Lots of life changes....sold homes, made investments, retired, lost a loved one, remarried and built a new energy efficient home. TurboTax has been able to guide me through every situation, answer all my questions, and leave me feeling comfortable that nothing has been overlooked.
What's great about it: Covers virtually all common situations and few that aren't so commom.
What's not so great: Have to file every year!!! (lol)

2015 Turbo Tax Premier

Overall, Premier was improved from last year. A problem area where oil royalties got entered twice was fixed which simplified data entry for me. I did find an issue where TT imported some information from my 2014 return for use in my Oregon state return that dealt with my Military reserve retirement and would have caused me to pay more in taxes to Oregon. I was able to hand correct the numbers so they appear on my actual Oregon worksheet. This is some thing I will have to look at every year until TT decides to import the information as it actually is entered in the prior year return.
What's great about it: Easy and accurate.
What's not so great: Import error to state return

Almost Perfect

Almost perfect. I had to start again from scratch because it would not let me file without filling in form K1 even though I deleted it. Otherwise I love TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Couldn't remove a form from last year
