Super easy

I have been using this for the past 10 years and love it. Can't imagine doing taxes any other way.

Need Excel import method

Need way to import stock/option transaction data from an excel spreadsheet so that you do not have to enter data on each transaction within turbo tax.
What's great about it: Consistent with prior years
What's not so great: Did not automaticly import and fil in investment institutions

Turbo Tax 2015 Review

Software keeps improving. Entering 1099 B data for stock trades was easier. The software is very helpful in handling employee stock option transactions. Turbo tax does a good job with all the complexities of the Health Care rules and HSA accounts.

The best........but not perfect

I've been using TurboTax since it first started and it continues to improve every year. I've tried other applications, but TurboTax is faster, easier and more logical in both it's layout and functionality.
What's great about it: Accurate, intuitive, reliable and well supported application.
What's not so great: State tool reminds me of the federal TurboTax application of ten years ago, but still much better than doing it by hand.

Good program for a bad job!

Sometimes when you go back to previous screens/entries you lose the information - other times (eg. in charitable contributions) you don't. This results in either double entries that have to be deleted, or the necessity of reentering information deleted.
What's great about it: Accuracy

I have been using Turbo Tax for over ten years.
The program covers everything that I need with detailed questions requiring simple answers that will lead you through your tax return. I go through all of the income and deduction sections even if I think they don't apply to me. Turbo Tax has shown me deductions I wasn't even aware I was entitled to. I have tried a couple of other software packages and noticed they were either missing entire sections that are in Turbo Tax or only asked rudimentary questions about possible income or deduction areas that Turbo Tax covers in detail.
The only thing I have to complain about is that I am not able to import some of my information from a partner that is shown in the program. Even here though the questions Turbo Tax asks me and the form shown on the screen allow me to enter the information manually without a problem, it just takes a little longer. This does not detract from my appreciation for the program.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do their own taxes.

What's great about it: Quick, easy, was able to import my information straight from my employer!
What's not so great: Can be somewhat confusing when looking into the IRA options. Did not know how much to contribute by April.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simply the BEST

Why would you ever file your taxes any other way? There is no simpler, more user-friendly, efficient and accurate way to do your taxes than Intuit's TURBO TAX! I've been doing it with them for 6 consecutive years and no plans to stop.
