Easy to use

I don't really know much about taxes and correct preparation, but I do know that using turbo tax has been easy to use.
What's great about it: Simple to follow. Checks everything for accuracy.
What's not so great: I really can't think of anything.

Very well written as a program and Turbo Tax provides assistance for the taxpayer at every step of the process while completing your taxes.
What's great about it: Precise and without problems in the printing stage.
What's not so great: Would like to get updates for the state forms sooner.

DYI saves alot of aggravation

I've been using TT for a good number of years and every year it gets the job done without having to lug all the paperwork and records to a stranger.
I don't have a lot of unusual tax situations that require high expertise but one area I have difficulty in is the 2106 form, business expenses. Trading vehicles during the year and trying to decipher the rules is, to me, a nightmare.
What's great about it: Somewhat Intuitive, accurate
What's not so great: Some areas are to vague without better guidance

Ecellent, need driver's license to file????

Very good as always. I am question the so called anti fraud step prior to filing. I could have put any random number in Drivers license box and would have been just fine. Really?????
What's great about it: Step by step questiosn, ability to import data from Brokers
What's not so great: What up with drivers licence info

I have been using turbo tax for over 14 years at least and am always confident when filling taxes; never apprehensive of results; could not be more satisfied! Appreciate the changes made in each subsequent year to improve the software and user friendly aspects!
What's great about it: Very user friendly and detailed in all aspects!
What's not so great: None at this time!

The step by step process is very efficient. If you let it do the work it's simple. It covers all bases. I like the explanations available in each step. Not to mention the on line features to help you be accurate in estimating donations and other numerical calculations. This gives you most of the information you need. If you still have any questions you can talk to a tax expert live. This is something you don't get with other tax software. You can be sure that you have prepared your return correctly following all the IRS and state rules. The digital import from previous year saves time and ensures accuracy. The update feature assures that you have the latest legislation and forms. What more can I say? Turbo Tax is the Middle Classes answer to saving and Tax education you can't get from taking your tax return to be prepared by another person. Not to mention, the $ savings. Thank you Intuit.
