Too Easy

Have been using Turbo Tax for years. I am always amazed at how easy it makes tax preparation. I like the methodical, step-by-step approach and the simple to-the point explanations.
What's great about it: Comprehensive step-by-step, great coaching
What's not so great: can't think of one

Easy to use!

I have used TruboTax for 10-12 years now and have had very satisfying experiences all along the way. Always up to date security features, calculation algarithums, and comprehensive review capabilities help me decide to stay with TurboTax each year. Thanks to the staff for developing and maintaining such copetent tax software. My hats off to you all.

Does what is promised and more!

I've been a user for as long as Turbo Tax has been around--yes, I'm that old, 74 this year--and I've never had a serious problem with it. I have been known to put an entry in the wrong place, but not the program's fault. In fact, you will almost always be alerted when you do something dumb! Now, if I can just figure out how to tell the grandkids "no, do your own return"!
What's great about it: Step by step eliminates the guessing where to enter what
What's not so great: Sometimes more detail than I need--not sure that's a "con" though

IRA Distributions

1) No info in HELP for qualified charitable distributions from IRAs made permanent in 2015. Help answers frozen at no help.
2) No questions for QCDs in IRA distributions section.
3) Info on various types of distributions, recharacterizations, and returns is confusing. Need better approach.

My 2015 tgax

I've used Turbo Tax for many years, since it was first published I believe. It saves me hours of time from shuffling papers and punching a calculator. Data entry is easy as the data becomes available. It is easy to edit or correct entries if new data arrives. I really like the reviews for federal and state returns which catches any errors or omissions.
What's great about it: Fast, easy to use, sensible menus
What's not so great: None
