Excellent 1040 filing tool

Excellent software for making something that is hideously complex exceptionally simple. Saved mass amount of time over the way we used to file income taxes.
What's great about it: Loved step by step layout.

I have been using this product for many years, sometimes with simple returns, but often with very complicated issues (rental property, partial business ownership, stock options & restricted stock, etc.). I have never had a problem, and the software always walked me through the tough stuff. My [adult] kids use it as well, with no problems. I know people with less complicated taxes who pay thousands each year for a tax service.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, thorough
What's not so great: Updates every time I open it

Better than ever.

I thought it was great, easy to understand and comprehensive. The only confusion I had was on the Ohio senior citizens credit, which straightened itself out.

My Return

I don't know why but I wasn't able to print my return when I wanted to. In print review the OK button after setting my preferences only came up once and thus the print button only came up once. This is the first year that happened. Everything else was great.
What's great about it: Does all the calculations and asks all the questions.
What's not so great: I had trouble printing my returns. The print button wouldn't come up in print preview

Security Pin issues

I would like to see better wak thru of fors for electronically signing especially if you have pin provided by IRS for secure transmissions.
What's great about it: provides assistace with non standard tax forms
What's not so great: with new pin security measures need better walkthru of forms

Never thought I could use Turbo Tax. Found out I could and this is so much more convenient than going to a CPA.
What's great about it: Lots of instructions to follow step by step
What's not so great: Got lost a few times when I would have to close/save and come back several hours later.

Just Keeps Getting Better

I have been using Turbo Tax more than 10 years and I appreciate the incremental improvements and changes rather than making major changes in the way it works. Once you learn it you don't have to re-learn it the next year.
I can also do my mother-law's return by just purchasing the software for her state (she lives in a state different from mine).
I have confidence in Turbo Tax because I have never found an error in it's calculations or logic.
What's great about it: There are incremental improvements each year. Data from previous year is imported into the current year.
What's not so great: How it handles Kentucky Use/Sales tax could be better explained.
