Worked well

Federal and state are to be free when purchasing a new version. Yet I was charged for the Ohio tax Transmit as well as the Missouri transmit. Only the federal was free.
What's not so great: Turbo Tax charged me for a free transmit.

TurboTax has always been my only way to submit my taxes. It has come a long way in its ability to guide you through the process. Its ability to integrate last years information into the current session saves so much time and effort.
What's great about it: Ease of Use, Step by Step. Wonderfully designed and easy to use.
What's not so great: None

worst and worst every year

With the intention of making the process easy, the interview is so dumbed down it hides lots of intermediate step that are necessary reassurance that all entry end up in the right place.
Why Capital/Gains requires an expensive version?
In the past form D was included in the basic package.
There no help in calculating RMD, it simply ask if you have complied. Thanks a lot.
Why can't remember that I live in a NO-State-Taxes State and quit offering to run the state return?

What's great about it: No snags or hangs ups, eventually it get you to complition
What's not so great: Higer cost - Fewer feature - Dumbed down

Glad for the Expert Help

Turbo Tax has made my life so much easier. Why would anyone pay a person to do their taxes. The biggest hassle is waiting for the forms to finish and the refund to come when finished.
What's great about it: Covers all the bases and more I would have missed. Like the review and likely-hood of getting an audit feature.
What's not so great: Explanation of AMT was challenging.

Even Better Than Last Year

2015 has been the easiest year using Turbo Tax so far. I really like that one each screen it outlines clearly the exact forms that will be reviewed, so I can skip an entire section and not feel like I've missed out on something. The user interface has gotten a lot cleaner and smoother, too, and that's something I can appreciate on an aesthetic level.
What's great about it: Simplified, but eased and thorough
What's not so great: None available.
