Excellent Software

Saves a bunch of money vs having your taxes done by someone, and I've never had a problem with TurboTax, as I did with a cut-rate tax prep service 6-7 years ago. The only times I went astray were when I just scanned the page instead of reading the simple one or two sentences, and clicked the wrong button. It's easy enough for anyone to understand, serviously.
What's great about it: Very easy to use if you just read the screens, which are brief and informative enough for anyone.
What's not so great: None

Easy to use even on complex return

I've been a TurboTax user for years and I will continue to use the desktop product. The software was easy to install, the updates are not intrusive, and I have never had a problem with lockups or crashes. The calculations seem accurate, the sequence you follow is logical, and it saves a bundle of time, especially if your return is a bit complex.
What's great about it: Can either be guided or choose what to work on, good instructions and help, logical sequence of work

Great Program

Been using TURBOTAX over 10 years. Keeps getting better with each year!
What's great about it: Easy to use, Intuitive Interface
What's not so great: Took a long time, but... not as long as at some other tax prep place
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Premier

My taxes were fairly routine this year and program worked well. One glitch on efile--Driver's license efile feature wouldn't take * character. WA state has that character in my driver's license thus I couldn't take advantage of added extra security to efile. In a time of increased security concerns, that was disappointing.
What's great about it: Walk through and explanation features

Great - But

Great features:
Copying personal information from previous years return saves a lot of time.
Comparing each area with previous years amounts helps to flag possible errors or forgotten items.
Audit Risk analysis – by removing one small item that raised three flags, I reduced audit risk from very high to very low.
Not so great:
New Health Care questions are very confusing. OnLine TurboTax Help was of some help. I also called my healthcare provider, who could tell me what I had, but it didn't seem to fit the TurboTax limited possibilities.
