Another successful filing of taxes. Again with ease and great guidance from TurboTax. Importing of financial records from various banks and investments accounts makes it so easy!
What's great about it: ease and effortless entry of info
What's not so great: navigation sometimes awkward

You have a problem with the way IHSS INCOME is dealt with if treated with Notice 2014-7 between Federal and CA state. As I understand it for Federal you must first add the income via the W-2 entry, then negate it manually (via the other income entry that is applied to Line 21) with the negative value - That is fine. The problem comes with the CA state program where TT asked if you earned IHSS funds. If you enter it there, as most people would, it will negate it a second time for the CA return - It should not be negated AGAIN - the federal return line 21 treatment already negated it and transferred it to the state.

It works from me and in prior years I filed in 2 countries, 3 states, 1 province (US and Canada).
Cheers.
What's great about it: Guides through the process.
What's not so great: Have to look up answers to special situations or searches.

Problems with home sale

I sold mly rental property at a loss. Spent hours trying to figure out how to report it. Not sure even yet if it is correct.

Didn't print out property tax refund MPR-1form and I did not realize it.
What's great about it: Seems to be thorough.
What's not so great: Never printed property tax refund MPR-1.
