Turbo Tax 2015

The application worked fine except for one part - entering an email address at the end. I filed for a friend who does not have email and even though this field is not mandatory, I could not move beyond it. It kept saying I entered an invalid email address but the box was blank.
What's great about it: I have always liked using this application
What's not so great: Sometimes I am confused where to enter some of the data.

Best Ever

Last years return was one problem after another. This year was a breeze. This is the earliest I have filed in years.
What's great about it: This was the easiest return since 1040EZ
What's not so great: No Cons this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax is SO SO easy

I love this product. I liked TaxCut when I used it, but I am so pleased with the change to TurboTax. I will continue to use this into the future.
What's great about it: The walk thru all of the forms is so easy
What's not so great: Sometimes trying to get back to previous fields can be slow

Titan of Tax Software

Great overall product. Love the guided approach and explanations seem to be sufficient. When I needed help, I found it a click away. It is a decent product and won't lead you astray.
I do wish that state filing was included with the federal. I did encounter an issue in the college expenses section where for some reason it did not compute correctly the first time through. I went from getting a refund to owing, buy several thousand dollars. The check at the end did not catch it. Knowing something was wrong, I went back through that section via the guided method, didn't change anything, and it recalculated the section and I suddenly was getting a refund again. Just an oddity to watch out for. Always do a review before filing to make sure things are reasonable.

Missing information and steps

Ran into one situation where I knew I was supposed to answer some questions but the questions weren't displayed. And at the end, where we are asking for additional information (Driver's license or state ID number) and it says you can opt out......well, it doesn't give you a way to opt out. You have to answer the questions (I didn't have all the answers) or you can't move on. This is supposed to be additional security, that you can skip, but it doesn't let you skip. Also, you ask for IP PIN numbers, which my wife and I both have, but you only accept 5 digits. Our numbers are 6 digits long.
What's great about it: Easy to use and thorough
What's not so great: Some distinct construct errors that cause problems

Long Time User

The only problem I had was when I forgot to add the sales tax for a car purchase and I had already did the easy selection the software would not let me go back easily.
Other than that it was, as usual, a wonderful experience.
What's great about it: Getting Better and Better
What's not so great: sales tax edit was cumbersome
