Been using Turbo Tax for years and only takes an hour with itemized deductions!
What's great about it: Very easy to follow and submit

Was somewhat surprised by the ease of answering the
tax questions and following the guidelines step by step
thru the personal info section.... all the way thru to the
final federal tax filing.
What's great about it: The simplicity of the federal tax questions and format
What's not so great: Trying to print out a copy of the federal tax return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use and quick

I have been using Turbo tax ever since 2006. Real easy and fast. Questions to narrow down what you need to fill out easily. Most sections had lots of help, there was also google. I think this year was much easier than last year.
One big note though I kept losing previous year information if I chose to go back. I had 3 saved w-2 forms from previous 2014 year, but after deciding to go back on the first it lost all the saved w-2 forms. Annoying but easy to put back.
Great feature to get the W-2 through EIN so no mistakes
What's great about it: Straight to the point questions to only fill out what you need
What's not so great: The stupid deductions! But in the end great to it chose the better deduction
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The taxes were less taxing this year

Premier did a good job but deluxe use to do the same job I needed previous years. You did do the right thing last year though and let me download premier since you changed deluxe and didn't make that clear to most of us. For that I thank you and that is the reason I went back to turbo tax this year. Premier made things go very smoothly this year.
What's great about it: Did everything needed this year
What's not so great: Had to go to premier verses deluxe now
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's not so great: Real problem trying to print tax returns!

basically I feel that the whole topic of tuition payments from qualified 529 plans is very confusing. Your product could be made better to educate and cover the scenarios much better. The idea that my son/daughter go to school, we pay for tuition from the qualified plan directly to the school for simplicity sake, which then becomes a confusing nightmare when 1099Q, 1098-T, and meal plan details etc... start rolling in in different people's names. It should be very clear, who claims, what to claim, etc.. so no tax is paid... This whole topic is way to complex for such a simple concept.
What's not so great: college expenses
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Overall excellent. Upgraded to Premier as it said it covered personal home rental situations. Software just asked for basis and final sale costs of house when sold. Seems if Premier truly addresses personal house rental, then it should also provide a worksheet for sale of the property.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and comprehensive
What's not so great: Didn't include a worksheet for sale of Rental Property
