Overall a great product for even moderately complexreturns
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: help option is not as robust as would like

Turbo Tax Premier

Was upset when after filing an ext in April, I came back to enter info in Oct. and program would not recognize my ext info. Maybe because it asked me to update program. Had to start all over with 3 days (My bad) to do it. Could be operator error. ???
What's great about it: Auto steps or individual input, reviews for probs, easy
What's not so great: needs more explanations for govt language, abbrev...

turbo tax asked for 18 characters using only last 15....nowhere on the form or by calling the marketplace or my agent did anyone know what you were talking about as the number is listed as either 7 or 8 digits....that's it...wasted a day calling marketplace and agent and IRS to see why my number is 7 or 8 digits not 18 characters that you ask for. Huge inconvenience and time waster
What's not so great: asked for a wrong number for the health insurance marketplace assigned policy number

The Only Way to Prepare Yourself

I have been a loyal TurboTax user for more than 10 years. Even though our return has become more complicated, TurboTax offers products that meet the more challenging preparation.
What's great about it: Easy walkthrough guide
What's not so great: Review function resets to beginning and does not resume from where the user left off

NO PERSONAL CONTACT - EVERYTHING HOOKED TO "THE CLOUD' --- HELLO, BEEN LOOKING AT THE NEWS LATELY!!!!! THE CLOUD IS WHERE MY PRIVATE INFORMATION WAS HACKED!!!!!!
Will look into doing my 2016 Tax in different media with different people.
One real outstanding item is "Its Deductible" a very worthwhile tool.
What's great about it: Complete function including math and oversight questioning
What's not so great: Too nabt cost "add ons" - by the time I finished - I could have had a TX preparer do it at less the same price

Always Easy to Use and Accurate

It's always easy to use Turbo Tax. I have been using it for many years. For one thing, there is a consistent feel to Turbo Tax, even though every year there are additions and modifications. This makes it easy to jump into and get started each year. Also, getting information transferred from the previous year's return is a time saver. I really like the access to information, details and answers to questions within Turbo Tax. The filing process is easy, too. All around, I highly recommend Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: The step-by-step or select as you go methods are easy to switch back and forth from.
What's not so great: None that I can think of.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I can't figure out how to print just one page

There is still room for improvement, especially concerning data entry for K-1s, and taxes paid.
Also, I would be nice for me to print off just the 2 year and 5 year summaries for my husband, but I cannot seem to do so, without printing the entire return.
What's great about it: computes revisions easily
What's not so great: difficult to track amounts on forms to what's in easy step
