Very Much Improved!
on October 17, 2016

Ive used Turbotax for several years. I own rental property and Turbotax Premier does a great job keeping my taxes accurate. There is one change I would like to see: Concerning questions pertaining to my properties, I must answer the same questions for each property even though the answers are all the same for every property. This would be a huge timesaver if this were improved.
What's great about it: Getting Faster and Accurate
What's not so great: Theres always room for improvement

securities upload didn't fill in some zero entries and had to fill in the blanks that were found on final check by Turbo Tax. difficulty could be on securities companies end.
property depreciation could have gone a little smoother with more explanation of new tax rule i.e. one time deduction if your always used that in the past??
appreciated the better box numbering in K1 area.
again, live phone help made the day
What's great about it: had, life saving, live phone help. BIG plus.
What's not so great: securities upload didn't go smoothly

User for many years and it keeps getting simpler and better organized. Entire process took only a few hours even with investment income to handle.
Had a little trouble understanding the help when seeking guidance on some necessary adjustments.
What's great about it: Concise, handles long brokerage statements, corrections simple to complet
What's not so great: Help not often clear

Excellent until K-1s
on October 17, 2016

Overall excellent making it possible to file taxes without going completely crazy.
Questions good, forms with ability to "drill down" very good and functioned perfectly.
However, the step-by-step broke down when final K-1s were included. Ultimately, I simply had to go into the forms to get them right. And not showing "final" K-1 would mean stress next year trying to convince IRS and CA FTB that this year's K-1's really were final.
Then, one final little insult to injury, I was told my review was already taken. It was -- by me in previous reviews. Sigh
What's great about it: Excellent, easy to follow
What's not so great: K-1 handling could be improved, filing the review was difficult
