Kept Me Focused and Ready for Next Year!

Had several new scenarios this year and wanted to save the cost of using a tax preparer. TurboTax walked me through each situation and found items that I had not previously qualified for which turned several years of writing a check into a refund for both Federal and State returns.
Well worth the cost to purchase!
What's great about it: Helped with First Time Issues
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to use and accurate!

I have the confidence that TurboTax does it right and prepares my return accurately and correctly and I don't have to keep up with all of the tax code changes - Federal and State. Makes my job easier and gets it done in a day (with good record keeping).
What's great about it: Ease of use; accuracy - knowing it is done right

much that is intuitive, much tough navigate

a little frustrating -
not intuitive when trying to find where/how to make an additional payment when filing for an extension
not intuitive when trying to print quarterly payment forms unless filing your return - no easy way to print if you are filing an extension
if unable to file federal return electronically, are all state returns ineligible as well?

Saves files all over the place on my desktop

Review of 2015 Fed/St Filing

It is cumbersome to go back thru the Q&A to find and correct an error. Even though there are Not instructions on how to do this. I usually go to the forms check the actual numbers used and make the corrections there, if possible. I am never sure whether I will mess-up TT's calculation software, but sometimes it is the only way to be sure the entered numbers are correct.
What's great about it: Easy Q&A format; been doing this for 10+years
What's not so great: When there is an error; instructions are not clear on how to make corrections

TurboTax VA Help Info Inadequate

Many times the TurboTax help information for the Virginia forms consisted of "enter the amount you want to apply..." with no explanation about the topic being addressed. A lot of guessing involved to get through the state form.
What's great about it: Better than paper
What's not so great: Very poor help available on the Virginia state return

Nice job as usual. I waited too long, so could not request assistance, and could not find on line. It did not pull in last return as had previously been done. Otherwise, much thanks.
