Farm review

I had a little trouble with one of the items getting it to spread expenses for building a cold storage to be spread out over several years instead of all one time. At first it would not come up with the option but when I finally got there it was easy from then on. I realize it lowered my refund by several hundred dollars but it also lowered the audit risk from extremely high to medium.
What's great about it: most of the information was easy
What's not so great: finding the right places to put expenses

I wouldnt attempt by myself without turbo tax.
It walks me through every detail. Prompting me at every turn. Its better than an accountant!
I love how when you use it multiple years in a row, it prompts things that you did last time

Makes filing so much easier and less expensive

Got Audited last year for my 2012 return. Audit defense handled all interface with the IRS... submitted info per AD guide... IRS eventually .....went away.
What's great about it: Gets Easier / Better every year been using it for Years....

This was my second year in business so I had start up costs to carry forward . Actually had to create two returns to make sure I had entered everything. Overall, love the software, but had to request a schedule c. I think most small business could use a little more walk through there rather than farm income and royalties that were the default

Help for the Small Business

So thankful for this program. It provides me as a small business owner, the ability to do my taxes all on my own which saved me significant money!!
What's great about it: Excellent advice, and easy to use. So thankful for this program!!
