Ive been using turbo tax for years and always get the most out of my returns. Fast and easy to use.
What's great about it: quick and efficient
What's not so great: overall view of information during the process would be nice
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I had a baby, I moved

Turbo 2015

I think the product is very good but at the end when you file a return Turbo tax wants to collect more personal information. Drivers license etc. Uncle SAM knows me, why and more importantly what do you do with this info?
The process getting the info makes it appear as though the Feds want this.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: too much data

Very easy and rapid steps to complete tax returns even if you do it in several sessions tracking back and forward all entries required for a complete an accurate TAX RETURN.
What's great about it: Easy guide to enter data
What's not so great: The question on a couple of entries are not very clear

See cons above. Also, we have a regular annuity via Hartford. TurboTax seems to treat this distribution (7D) like an IRA. Seems like I had to jump through alot of hoops on this entry. I don't think this kind of annuity has an RMD component but TurboTax seemed to insist that it does. Who knows.
What's great about it: Excellent customer service via Help. Excellent program with a few kinks but overall reliable and user friendly.
What's not so great: Clarify how to keep 1099-misc forms from opening a new schedule C. Cost me time and a call to help desk.

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and it is fairly easy to use. It walks you through miles of deductions and keeps a running total of what you owe or what your refund is. I like that it prints out the total return and it is all neat.
What's great about it: Walks you through many many situations
What's not so great: Sometimes hard to know where to enter certain items
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax So Helpful

Having self employment income, rental income, social security income and investment income, I would be lost without TurboTax. Most any question you have can be answered by the program, but I would suggest you have an overall understanding of income and deductions before you start. TurboTax is great if you find an error and need to correct it, you can go directly to the line item. If you have income from another state, it is super easy to input your info and have TurboTax do the state form for you. I am a 14 year user of TurboTax and would never use anything else.
What's great about it: Ease of entries, support, explinations
What's not so great: In review mode, the program asks for entries and I am not sure what they are asking for
Pros: I bought or sold investments
