My Retirement Year

With all of the data ready to input, TurboTax is still the easiest program to use. Most is intuitive and asks specific questions related to the area needing an answer. Some of the questions this year are not as detailed as previous years and Help was not as well laid out for any given page or specific line. Some of the details left questions as to how or what to fill in. Schedule D Federal (Loss) did not fill out the AZ form nor did it provide plain English answers to what to fill in. It took a 2 hour phone call (waiting) to get help. Other than that, TurboTax performed as well as all of my previous years going back to DOS when the program was an infant in the industry.
What's great about it: As always, most of the Federal transferred to state
What's not so great: TurboTax failed to fill in Schedule D to new state, AZ

After speaking with Mieko at TurboTax, I felt human again!
She was able to assist me, quickly and professionally!
We removed the vehicle where it should not have been and my audit risk went from medium to low...NO problems!

What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Auto showed up in 2 areas of schedule C
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Awesome experience, fast and easy step by step instructions even if you have absolutely no idea of how taxes works. shows all the deduction options and all the tricks and tips that helps you pay less taxes. highly recommended

very good my 4th year to use

Great product, did my taxes in 3 hours, with home office business expenses, this is the 4th year I have used Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: found last years taxes, lots of good questions to help me
What's not so great: not confident with the Health Saving Acct section

Complex made simple

I've used TurboTax for years and have used the Home and Business version for the past 6 or so of those years. I like having the control and understanding that doing my taxes myself gives me. Because our income varies from year to year, I can run TurboTax with estimates by mid-January to see whether we will owe or not, and if so, how much, so that we can organize our finances around this. Then, once I have all the documentation, I can finish up and get the actual numbers
What's great about it: Inexpensive, user-friendly, comprehensive

Another Tax Year Done

Quick, easy, good reviewing, and error checking. I completed my return, (federal and two states), in 8 hours.
The program and form updates took a long time to download and install. Also the program is slow to load and start up.
Please consider incorporating support for Foreign Bank Account (FBAR) report filing.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, good reviewing, and error checking.
