Manual Adjustments

State and Local Tax Reporting does NOT permit a loss from business. There is NO manual adjustment capability of software to report this net income as "0".
I struggled with this. Hours trying to fool the software.

easy to use

What's great about it: stepped thru easily.
What's not so great: did not have everything in front of me.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

LOVE TurboTax

I love the new "Flag" addition this year for tax season 2015! Makes it easy to find where you have to return to a certain area of your taxes. I have been doing our taxes since 2005 (my brother-in-law who is a CPA did them for us in 2003 & 2004) and have had no problems. Easy to use, step by step process, fast rebate return when e-filing and love being able to do our own (more private & convenient doing them ourselves). Have and keep all supporting receipts, documents etc and you will be fine. I look forward to doing our taxes every year, especially all of the itemizing. It's fun with TurboTax!!

Slow on the go

Pretty easy to file but didn't like the closed e-file after Oct date!
Also had to fill in amounts from Federal return in State return but couldn't easily navigate back to get the numbers. Had to jump out go find the numbers needed and then try and find my way back to where I left off.

What's great about it: Short concise chapter titles
What's not so great: Difficult to navigate back to forms

When I went back to review my income information or some other information, it will change some boxes and fill them with some standard info which is very bad way to do it. Once I have filled those boxes and I want to go back to make sure some information is correct, it must not change the filled boxes to standard info. Because this may cause serious discrepencies.
What's great about it: Good question answer format

Great for small business

Overall turbotax home and business works very well for me and my small sole-proprietor business. This year I traded in a vehicle that I have been using for business and personal use. The questions asked were not very clear and at the end when I checked for errors Turbotax had me filling in additional columns in a form without fully explaining them.
What's great about it: Stepped me through everything
What's not so great: Disposing/Trading in a vehicle used for business difficult
Pros: I bought or sold investments
