What's not so great: Updating the software in Windows 10 is really difficult

It is not clear how to enter NSO stock option sales (Buy/sell at same time) when your employer sends a W-2 with taxes already deducted. I finally found a description on how to do it buried in to the help files. Up until a few years ago this was really easy to do, but was changed. It is the second year it took a lot of extra time to figure out. Only doing this once a year, I did not remember how.
What's great about it: Everything worked great and got me throught the process, except....
What's not so great: Recording NSO stock option sales

Have successfully used TurboTax for quite a number of years and actually look forward to tax time. Taxes were more complex this year and had to use the high rise edition but encountered no difficulty due to the excellent help provided.

I spent 20 years as an Enrolled Agent and I use Turbotax for my own return.
What's great about it: Turbotax is easy to use and picks up the loose ends.
What's not so great: sometimes the screens can be picky and just a little bit at a time.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

EACH YEAR YOU REWRITE YOUR PROGRAMS TO NOT BE ABLE TO DO A SIMPLE RETURN BUT FORCE TO BUY A MORE INCLUSIVE ( SUCH NOT BE ABLE TO DO EASY SCH (C)

Smooth and Thorough

One of the smoothest filings I have ever had. I had to take advantage of their callback program to pay for the state tax program because the online program did not seem to work. However, I was very surprised by getting my callback quickly and the customer service rep was very helpful.
What's great about it: Complete and efficient
What's not so great: Could not pay for filing online
