Early Return

I've used Turbo the past few years and trust the calculations. I have mostly standard filing status but still like going through all catagories. I think it is mostly for working people with diverse incomes, lots of deductions and dependant information.
What's great about it: Accurate

My 2014 was not saved (new computer) and Turbo Tax could not pull up last years return for comparison... do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THE DISC ... Do it on line as a download, they save them this way.
What's great about it: Walk Through is simple
What's not so great: sometimes it referes you back to worksheets to where you do not understand the questions

Background: I used to do my tax return manually 15 years ago.Then went to CPA for filing my Tax Return. This year I decided to do it by myself using the turbo tax. It is excellent after you get familiar with it.
Suggestions for Improvements: 1.Overview of main features would be very helpful (Look at me first VIdeo ?)
2. Heading at the top is not could be modified to add clarity (e. g. Personal Income, Busisness Income etc. Or Help file when you put a cursor on the headings.
3. I would like to know, the information you are adding is for which IRS form e.g. Schedule A , Schedule E etc.

Solar tax refund included

What's great about it: I was lead through the process of getting my tax refund for installing a PV solar array with ease!
What's not so great: Still too much inactive screen when down loading the latest forms.

Easy Returns

I use "It's deductible" and have been using Turbo tax for the last 10 years. It always transfers everything over from the last year, asks all the right questions, explains things very well, and I can't imagine NOT using it every year for our taxes.
What's great about it: Asks all the questions, answers my questions ... Easy to do, no worries.
What's not so great: None that I can think of.

Done with Fed AND State in less than 1/2 hour

Hit a homerun with my first At-bat. Can't take the credit for the hit, has to go to the coaching team; I'm just an everyday Joe.
What's great about it: Walked me through like I knew what I was doing
What's not so great: Maybe it's my lack of experience but wasn't anything I didn't like except having to do it.

substantially more painful than prior years

The program is familiar and in the past has been one of my favorites. This year was painful on my older MacBook Pro running 10.8.6 - it seemed very buggy and time-consuming to do many things. I'm not sure I'll buy it again...
What's great about it: the ability to bookmark places, quick filing
What's not so great: having to force quit repeatedly, save error msgs, state filing hassles
