Mixed bag

Way more complicated than it needs to be in some situations. For example, filling out Form 8615 (for multiple children with unearned income who have to file their own return) is a nightmare - poorly explained, lots of manual entries, jumping around from return to return. Also not enough guidance in Business Expenses; for example, where to list software expenses. And it doesn't often doesn't remember answers to questions already entered when you go back to make revisions.
What's great about it: Good for simple returns
What's not so great: Confusing in several areas

Turbo Tax Worked Great

I love the error checking that the software performs. Also love the feature that lets you compare this year's return with your returns from prior years. The help features are pretty good but the help you can get from other users is outstanding.
What's great about it: Easy to use, intuitive.

The best!!

We have used Turbotax for 4 years now to do our personal and business tax returns. Not only do we save money, we learn SO MUCH MORE than if we had paid someone to do our returns. IT is really amazing how you have considered every possible
What's great about it: Clear, simple, step by step with easily accessible online help and telephone support
What's not so great: occasionally small errors like pulling up an unnecessary extra form or incorrect year to year numbers.

Okay

This is the second time that I have used to file three individual returns and I have had to pay for all three in order to file. Fix you system!!! It ask if I want to use as my free filing and then charges me at the end. Not cool!
What's great about it: Very easy to use and to obtain support if needed
What's not so great: Second year that free state filing was not free!!!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good but could be better

There may be a way to skip around your return without starting at the beginning of the section but I have used TurboTax for years and I have yet to find it. Other then that it works fine.
What's great about it: Seems to cover everything but one never knows.
What's not so great: They should let you skip to a spicific page in a section insted of having to start from the begining

I have used Turbo Tax for over 12 years for preparing and filing my taxes. Like most people, I don't enjoy working on my tax returns, but Turbo Tax takes away most of that pain.
What's great about it: Step-by-step
What's not so great: Can be confusing to new users

Tax preparer for persons, partnerships, corporations for years. My return involves foreign income, non-resident state status and retirement issues. Turbotax makes it simple even for the novices. I had a great time and the return was easy. Nice work TTax
What's great about it: Easy to use but still comprehensive.
What's not so great: Filed electronically but when you get to the IRS website for support it becomes confusing.
