TurboTax fan!

My taxes are not easy, 2 small business, wages and a pension system. Plus have a kid in college and I attend too. We are able to file our self answering the step by step questions.
What's great about it: Takes you through asking you all the questions to complete the tax forms.
What's not so great: Have to pay to e-file state taxes.

Is there a way to have all vehicles on one page, enter the overall vehicle information once and then just assign miles to the various businesses. It is really annoying to have to go through the whole vehicle questionnaire for each business the car is used.
What's not so great: The Vehicle information entry mask are still cumbersome.

2015 Turbotax Home & Business

Awesome product - I've been using it for years. Simplification continues year after year - making it even easier to do your own taxes.
One note: Save ALL important papers so you don't have to struggle to visit web sites and reconstruct your historical documents. I've found that many financial institutions do not keep all documents and may only have a summary or monthly statement available.
What's great about it: Self guided follow through is simple to traverse
What's not so great: Addition of items after the intial 'walk through' may require re-entry into step by step.

Awesome Tax Program

Program is easy to use and is cheaper than an outside tax service, but prices are running it higher ever year
What's great about it: Loved the linked download from securities
What's not so great: price keeps going up

As always a great product

I like the product for its ease of use. I'm not sure why it no longer imports info from previous years. I have used this product for the last 17 years and in the beginning it would import and ask if the info was still current. I would like to see this option again. It may also be attributed to using different computers over those years. As a home based small business owner it works for me.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Not importing info from previous years

Made Filing Easier

My husband and I have used Turbo Tax for many years and we now have our adult children filing their taxes with Turbo Tax. Thank you for your attention to your continued growth within the ever changing tax laws making it so easy for the lay person to understand filing income tax returns.
What's great about it: Very concise and easy to understand all points of entry
What's not so great: The inability to e-file a MD return with a 502CR credit from another state's tax owed

The application is easy to use, but some of the logins to the different brokerage firms did not work like Capital One Investing.
What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: Some of the logins do not work.

Easy Step Not As Easy As Previous Versions

I have used Turbotax software for years, except for a two year gap recently. I was always impressed with the clarity of the questions and explanations in the Easy Step entry guide, and how it seamlessly interfaced with forms. The clarity of the process couldn't have been much better. Sadly, Turbotax has let me down substantially in their 2015 tax year offering. I was able to get the job done, but I faced several instances where the clarity of the questions or guided entries-and the associated help screens-was not very good. I had to poke around in the forms to find the applicable form, and even download the particular forms I needed with instructions from IRS and manually fill them out to resolve some issues. The help screens used to be better, as I recall. It is annoying to be redirected to the web-based help. The Turbotax team may have become lazy about these sorts of details in recent years. Meticulous attention to detail was a hallmark of Turbotax in the past. Nonetheless, I was able to get the job done and easily file my return electronically.
What's great about it: Still does accurate calculations
What's not so great: Clarity of Easy Step entry could be a lot better
