Great Timesaver, As Usual

I've used TurboTax for several years now, including for our small business returns the past three years. Saves me a ton of time, and is faster and less complex than trying to have an accountant go through all our records, or explain situations to one/fill out their questionnaire. Doesn't miss anything that would affect our somewhat complex return.
What's great about it: Accuracy, ease of use, thorough.
What's not so great: Didn't carry over my data from last year's return, for some reason.

It was fast, efficient and easy to use. The only missing piece was when it asked for detailed information, such as medical expenses, and it did not explain or pre-determine whether or not they would be needed. In other words, I know there are situations when certain items can not be deducted, such as medical expenses, yet the program asks for information about it regardless of whether or not it will be or can be used. I wish the program could determine whether certain deductions, such as charity items, would even be applicable, BEFORE one goes through the trouble of inputting the information. I would think that the program could be altered to take an estimated guess, based on income, to predetermine certain deductions so that one could bypass the areas which will not apply.
What's great about it: Quick and easy

7 Years of TurboTax

I have been using TurboTax all since 2008 and have been very grateful for this wonderful product. The user interface is very easily understandable. The downside to the whole thing is the cost AND the software indicated that it was one state free filing and ended up charging me!
What's great about it: Very User-Friendly!
What's not so great: Getting Too Expensive!

2015 taxes

no problems, even though we had big company salary for husband and small business for wife. Plus we had to get an extension.
been using TT for many years and it has always been a good performer. will buy again next year.
What's great about it: as simple as possible but covered all the bases
What's not so great: a little bit more expensive than competiors

One minor complaint

In previous years form 37 could be filled out along with the state income tax. No longer supported. BUMMER

Couldn't Do It Without TurboTax!

With the federal tax codes eye-crossingly complicated to where an average human cannot comprehend them--and with said codes obviously written for and by millionaires--TurboTax is the only way somebody like me can have a hope of preparing their own taxes. (I wanted to add "Eat The Rich," but thought better of it.)
What's great about it: User friendly in the face of overwhelming complications.
What's not so great: Takes FOREVER to load.

Wow, thrilled and surprised to get this over. Started a new business last year and was worried about the process. Clear easy to understand questions. Really rather easy! Will use again for 2016!
What's great about it: Asks great questions, very complete, easy to understand
What's not so great: error section does not have option to bring you back to page to view issue
