Good, But...

Work on giving more help on allocating 179 allowed, it's impossible to get it correct.
What's great about it: Straightforward
What's not so great: 179 corrections are impossible to understand

Solid software, gets the job done.

I've been using this software for a long time, mostly because I trust it and it works. It does a good job guiding me through everything I need for my schedule C, and makes sure I have everything entered in properly.
However, the interface is getting really long in the tooth. It can be hard to get to a really specific entry without having to go through a bunch of unnecessary 'wizard' steps. I also lost data from a previous return due to a couple errant clicks, and had to do a pretyy laborious side-by-side comparison from the previous year to get it back. I also noticed that the previous year had a minor error that should have been caught by software!

I've always found TT to be easy to use, effective in drawing the right information from me for a complete return.
What's great about it: Methodical, good explanations
What's not so great: Didn't always display previous year's data

Schedule C deductions for vehicle mileage was confusing as to answer questions concerning business mileage versus personal mileage and where it should be recorded.
What's great about it: Good coverage.
What's not so great: Colors of software too light, hard to see

T-T Forever

The program does its best to guide one through the whole process, but I especially like the reviews at the end. Every little square that is supposed to have been filled in during the gathering phase but was skipped due to skimming the material too fast or thinking that some of the form is not important will be found. I have been using Turbo Tax every year that it has been sold and it keeps improving. Thanks
