Turbo tax is my go to for filing my taxes. Everything is easy to use and understand. Whenever I have questions the help areas give examples and explanations.

AS I AM ACTUALLY COMPLETING MY TAXES I REALIZE THAT I AM TRUSTING TOTALLY THAT INTUIT WILL NOT MAKE A MISTAKE..I AM TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY WHEN YOU TELL ME THAT I MADE THE MISTAKE AND WARN ME TO GO BACK AND CHANGE MY ENTRY....AND YOU ARE RIGHT EVERY TIME!!....AS WE GET OLDER THE THOUGHT PROCESSES SLOW DOWN AND IT REALLY HELPS WHEN TURBO DOES A LOT OF THE THINKING FOR US..

What's great about it: SEGMENTS EASY TO FOLLOW

Overall I really like TurboTax and find it pretty simple to use. I guess my main beef is that it is tricky to navigate if you want to go back and check or find something. It seems to be designed to simply go straight forward, and not to diverge from the path.
How about a glossary, or index? The "jump to" feature is ok, but it's not quite what I'm referring to. What if it were designed more like a book that you can flip through, with table of contents, glossary & index.
Also, the entire Rental section could use an overhaul towards clarity and simplification for the novice small time landlord.
Could the page where you enter info from the Escrow Closing Statement actually be cross referenced to the HUD form? Currently your list of items is baffling and inscrutable.

Good -not great

I have used TT for several years and it has always been easy enough, but wish it would automatically import more data from the year's previous return, like AGI and other stuff. Love it though, and will use it again and again.
What's great about it: Was easy to prepare
What's not so great: Auto-import of data could be more thorough
