Very good tax software

This year's turbo tax was much improved over last year. There is always room for improvement and the team progresses each year.
What's great about it: Steps through all the details
What's not so great: Still could use some improvements

Had to file an extension this year. Made the entire process foolproof. Finished when we could and Turbo Tax stayed updated and walked us through step by step as always! Been filing with TurboTax for over a decade and has not failed to impress us.
What's great about it: Asked all the right questions and probed for critical info
What's not so great: None; except I wish it could klink glasses with me when done!

I use my personal car for business as well as personal. There is no clear explanation for how to determine the various entries when you trade in your old car for a new one during the year.
What's great about it: Mostly clear easy to fill in the blanks
What's not so great: Calculations for auto used for business

Consistent Excellent Service

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now, and each time I use it, I better understand what I can do the following fiscal year to benefit me from a tax perspective. The program empowers ordinary people to better understand their tax situation and what they can do to better it or avoid certain situations in the future. Great product. Keep improving it!
What's great about it: Keeps my records secured and safe
What's not so great: No real person to talk to
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

No better way to prepare taxes, even for amateurs.

Turbo tax allows you to feel confident that you have not overlooked any deductions and that your return is accurately prepared. Your help features are superior to most other software's help features I have used explaining what you need to know to get the job done right, succinctly and in terms most anyone can understand. You don't need to be a CPA and you don't have to pay CPA prices to file your taxes. I also think it is great the way it links to Quicken Home & Business and allows you to transfer the information quick and easy. Set up your accounts properly, with the tax form interface that comes with Quicken Home & Business you only have to make an entry once and forget it. It will pop up at tax time even if you don't remember entering it months before the tax filing deadline.
What's great about it: Excellent software; easy to follow and gets job done right.
What's not so great: It would take too much time to think of one.
