Awesome experts on call

I know it's the IRS, whose forms are nit set up to take Canadian income, but Turbo Tax should be fixed to allow the Canadian Zip Codes through, with their letters. Similarly, if a payee is a Canadian, she doesn't have a SIN - accept letters so I can explain.
What's great about it: I made two calls for help and both were great.
What's not so great: Hard to enter Canadian payers and payees

I appreciate the time-saving feature of bringing over information from prior year's return; also, asking questions about entries on prior year's return as a reminder for possible entries on current year's return.
What's great about it: Ability to go to from step-by-step to the forms and back to step-by-step.
What's not so great: Time-consuming search to find out the e-file deadline.

Print Return Function Sucks

The print function defaults to print my federal and both state returns. It will not allow me to print them separately.

What's not so great: Will not allow me to select a return and pring just that return

Ease of use

The program is easy to use, you can pause at any moment and continue later. If you find more things to put in you can go back and correct it very easily. The checkup if you did everything correct eliminates mistakes or things that you forgot. Will definitely use this program again next year.

Good but Could be Easier

I'm a CPA so I know what I'm doing when it comes to preparing my returns. I use TurboTax because it's easy and provides me with a mechanism for e-filing my federal and state returns easily. The one thing I consistently have issues with in Turbo Tax is tracing the source of numbers when I see a number on a tax return line where I wasn't expecting it, or if I believe the number is wrong (usually only happens on the states). It is darn near impossible to get back to the source of wherever TT is pulling that number from/calculating it. Also, I wish TT would let me enter in a State K-1 Form exactly as the K-1 form looks, instead of making me guess how they want the number entered so it shows up on the right line in the state return.
What's great about it: Walks through Everything

long time user - quality drops each year

I'm real familiar with returns and prefer the old style forms entry approach. The input his horrible for sale of shares or for federal ES tax payments when you use the forms method. (Why can't you have a box that lets a user check that the full refund can be applied to the ES payment. That's the method used for many states including NC.) Restricting efile to 5 returns is really unfair if you have many kids and also do the grandparent's returns..... this restriction did not exist a few years ago.
What's great about it: few
What's not so great: poor input for sales of stocks. poor entry of options for federal ES.
