Software needs improvements for overseas filers

I am an overseas filer. Turbo Tax could make my job much easier by calculating from one form to the other. For example, figures from multiple forms 8938 have to be manually added to fill in the form asking for cumulative funds held overseas. Also, when trying to edit some forms, I cannot input either from the worksheet or on the form itself without an over ride. When I am reviewing step-by-step, I cannot find the earlier, initial forms and worksheets that led to the summary sheet without going into a form search and - not knowing what I am looking for - spend a lot of time trying to revisit entries that I need to change. Turbo Tax in Canada is much more user friendly.
What's great about it: Populates a lot of worksheets and forms
What's not so great: Not easy to edit or see behind the scenes worksheets StepbyStep

Use it every year

I work in accounting, although I am not a tax preparer, and I use Turbo Tax every year. It saves so much money. I know a lot of CPAs. They all use tax software to do their client's tax returns. Their software does pretty much the same thing, the only difference being that they are preparing thousands of returns--with Turbo Tax you are limited to I think five returns.

Terrible experience. Efile was rejected two months

Turned out e-file was accepted for feds and rejected for Ohio. Only received 1 email and no reminders that it was still in rejection status . Tried to correct the Ohio Business IT error, Turbo tax indicates no error, but e-file rejected within 2 hours of filing. It is not even getting to the state. Ohio have no record of receipt, even by e-file. It is also not in their rejected list. Disappointed that I have this issue exposing me to audit risk and even a late filing expense. I should have received daily alerts that this was not fixed. Now I can't e-file. Refund delayed 6 months at least and now have greeter audit risk.

Simple Filing for my business

I have been using Turbo Tax Home and Business for years. I have used a tax professional before and the instructions and records I needed were very confusing and hard to get together. Then a correction had to be filed for mistakes. Turbo Tax is very clear and has wonderful instructions and detail as to what is included and where. Plus once all the info is collected and entered, the taxes are done.
What's great about it: Clear & Concise Instructions

Great 2015 package!

I did 10 returns for family members. The e-Filing is limited to a handful (I don't remember the number), so the for amount over the handful, those people got paper returns. To them I say "be grateful that I did your taxes for free." The various returns were all over the map for complexities and situations: students, single adults, married, married with kids, divorced, Sch C business owner, farm. About the only thing I had to do outside this package was an 1120s and K-1 for a small business. I'm very pleased to be a 10+ year user of TurboTax.
What's great about it: Addressed many obscure areas
What's not so great: Met my needs: no cons
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I had a baby, I moved
