I have use TurboTax consistently for over 20 years. Turbo tax has always been clear and concise, has prompted thought about all issues relating to my business and personal taxes. I highly recommend Turbo Tax to anyone.

I don't trust this

Not sure I really trust this software. At least one time each month they update it to fix the bugs. So if you send in your returns in early March, will there be changes when they make updates in March, April, and May (Yes i said May after taxes are due which is what they did last year). The other thing I don't like is if you hit the BACK button it seems you have to retype some of the information that you just put in. Or at least it seems that way. The other thing is they keep trying to sell you more stuff along the way like AUDIT protection. Plus the STATE returns are NOT free to send in electronically.
What's great about it: Inserts info from previous returns
What's not so great: Too many updates

Phone support was excellent. Very patient and very helpful.
What's great about it: Phone support was awesome, once I got connected.
What's not so great: I couldn't get through the automated system when I called. Finally, a TurboTax representative called me.

Reduced Printing Options

Last years version had the option to save only forms required to be filed with the IRS...the 2015 version saves everything including all the worksheets. This can create a large file and can be problematic when filing State and have to attach a copy of fed return

I enjoyed filing. I especially loved the transfer of information. I am still confused about some of the business lingo, but I bought the extra protection to cover me if need be. I did all of this for 1/4 of the price of paying someone to file my taxes.
What's great about it: Quick answers to any questions. I can ask for extra protection when if needed. All for less than I would pay to file
What's not so great: Unsure of all the tax lingo and forms that popped up. Could not do multiple accounts and purchase savings bond.

Took awhile...But it's complete!

As a self-employed consultant, taxes can be long...but turbo tax made it entertaining to do my taxes. I appreciated the cheesy jokes. Also they ask you questions that are so much easier to comprehend than looking at the IRS tax forms and instructions, which are completely illogical. My only problem came at the end during the review process. For the specific error I had the instructions on how to fix it were not helpful. I ended up talking to technical support for a total of 3 hours, but we got everything solved. The support technicians I talked to were great (Thanks Ebony and Milena!).
What's great about it: Actually made taxes fun and entertaining; Good customer service
What's not so great: Hard to navigate to forms and cannot edit forms directly online

2015 Turbo Tax Investments and Rental Property

Each and every year T. T. gets more difficult to use and Increasingly non-intutive. And should I say more expensive? This year's program would hang and did so frequently. That fault cost me several hours. Instructions are nil and the web site is a joke as far as help is concerned. I think this my last year after using for over 10 years. There has to be a better program.
What's great about it: Will extract last year's data
What's not so great: Program hangs frequently
