turbo tax home and business 2015

There are lots of reasons I have been purchasing Turbo Tax Home and Business for 10+ years. I am self-employed...so I need the business aspects for my returns. Most sections of the program are superb. But the section on entering K-1 data is confusing. The key issue is the requirement of Turbo Tax to enter K-1 data twice...once with Block 1 data...and once for Block 2 data. The program drop down menus do not explain why this is required...nor do they explain exactly how to do so. Do you enter the additional data fields on the K-1 document completely as two different K-1s? This year (2015) i filed both California and Federal taxes...and I did not realize I did not use the same ordering convention for the Federal return (Block 1/2) as I did for the State return (Block 1/2). It took me several evenings over two weeks to figure out. Turbo Tax should lead me through this area seamlessly...just like it does in other areas. It got to the point where I almost took my whole return down to an expensive business accountant to work. Please modify Turbo Tax Home and Business for 2016 to make the instructions clearer.
What's great about it: program carries forward information from previous years returns
What's not so great: features on entering K-1 information are confusing

For the last few filings, I have faced this problem. I am married filed jointly and there is never any alimony received or paid but the program keep on asking me for the SSN of the payee. When I cannot provide the info, the error message prevented me to proceed with the filing.
What's great about it: Simple and easy to complete a complicated task
What's not so great: See below
Pros: I bought or sold investments

After so many years you FAILED me over Form 8962

I have used TurboTax for almost 30 years; this is the FIRST time the IRS has written me; the data I entered on my 1095A form did not integrate into my 1040 form even though I worked on form 8962 as well. I am repulsed by this failure of TurboTax; I shall be exploring other tax self-filing software options. This has been mortifying because of the hours i spent trying to get the Healthcare Form entry form to work before filing and I was under the impression my data had been integrated; I use the most expensive TurboTax software, too; DO NOT TRUST THIS SOFTWARE!!!!! UGH!!!
What's great about it: normal and customary stuff...
What's not so great: Failed integration of 1095A data i entered resulted in IRS contact!!!!

I am a retired guy, but actively driving UBER part time...
I've been using Quicken for a couple of years now, but not TurboTax.
It seems that any Tax Prep Software Company should be really Interested in making it easier for us, do it yourselfers, by duplicating a fill in form, from the same TAX forms, we as drivers get for Tax purposes from UBER. There are over 150,000 UBER drivers, that are Self Employed.... and tons of Lyft Drivers. You should see that as a huge opportunity.
I have been preparing my own taxes since I was 16.... and yes the Tax forms have become very onerous. I have been using Taxcut/H&R Block tax software for decades. I was attracted to using your Tax software, because your ads seemed to suggest that you knew what self employed persons needed. . You are more expensive than H&R, but I thought it was worth a shot.
I also have Trust forms, that I need help with. Info that comes from an Accountant for both Fed and State, on official Gov't forms. Once again, like H&R you ask us to take the numbers from the Tax forms and info and put it into your specific software. A kind of 'let them do it themselves' attitude.
Like H&R Block both of you make us move the numbers around.... I know it sounds like I'm whining... but why can't you just let us transfer and fill the data in on the same type of Forms that we get from UBER and the Estate Trust Forms...
I would sing the praises of any Tax Software company that would just do that!
I have 600+ Facebook friends/followers and 100s of Linked-In business friends who would love to hear that I found a Tax Prep software company completely oriented to the do it yourself tax preparation person.
What's great about it: Easy enough step by step instructions for the average return
What's not so great: Not enough forms for my UBER and Trust tax purposes
