I have been using Turbo Tax for for nearly 10 years. It is always accurate and thoroughly walks me through all my potential deductions for the most return possible.
Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: plenty of help and easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Looks like they willn not support my OS next year need to buy a new machine so I can upgrade
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax is easy to install and the user experience for me is always improving from year to year.
What's great about it: It is great how TurboTax steadily improves the user experience every year
What's not so great: Sometimes clicking on the "Back" button goes back to the start of a section instead of the previous screen.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not as advertised
on April 27, 2016

I've used Turbo Tax for 10 years and always find it helps in loading information and filling forms. However, the advertising is misleading in stating that one State filing is free. I had to pay twice for our joint filing and my dependent son's refund.
What's great about it: Simple and accurate
What's not so great: Advertising said one free state. I had to pay twice to file state tax
Pros: I moved

love tt. will probably use it until the price goes uo. it has gone up too much in recent years. 90% of the coding and marketing has been done so the marginal increase should be minimal.
What's great about it: Have loved turbo tax for10 years
What's not so great: had trouble updating this year until the end of taxx season
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Nice, but issues with Personal Business and State
on April 28, 2016

Turbo Tax still seems like the best way to prepare taxes for the money. However, for more complex tax returns that offer multiple forms for different sources of income such as 1099 Misc Income, it can be very confusing. Additionally, Turbo Tax has always been a challenge when transferring to a State and one has more complex tax filings. I spend the bulk of my time trying to understand how the Federal return handles the distribution of my income to the different forms and how the State works in general. It would be nice if the program would offer a flowchart to depict how the tax info will be distributed to multiple forms once all the types of tax inputs unique to the preparer are identified. I am not sure what other services are available that would be better. Every year I consider Lacerte, but talk myself into believing that this year Turbo Tax will get it right. What is the definition of insanity - same actions with the hope for a different outcome? Overall it is still better compared to manual completion and filing.
What's great about it: Gets easier and more thorough every year
What's not so great: Significant time spent on forms TurboTax selects for income (1099 Misc) for Federal; State transfer always a challenge
