Review section and Online tools

Its Deductible Online is an excellent tool that I'll use throughout this year to help streamline next years taxes.
In addition, the Review section caused me to re-think an IRA option that I had forgotten about. I was able to funding two (joint return) and reduce this years taxes. It was a great option for this years filing and will consider future funding as well.
What's great about it: Logical progression of entry and tools to streamline future filing
What's not so great: Would like a 'Hot' save button displayed

Harder, less helpful than in the past

I am less pleased with this software than in the past primarily because it gets more "robotic" (numbers in, decisions out without my participation or understanding why the end result is what it is.
For example, for 2015, the software stated that the home office business deduction that I have taken in the past, was not allowed in 2015 - - but it did not state why it was not allowed. I read the help page in the software, and the home business expense deduction guidelines on the IRS site, and still do not understand why the deduction is not allowed. If your software knows the deduction is not allowed it should be able to tell me why - - what has changed since 2014 tax year.
In past years your software has been a great "guide" that has lead me thru the process and allowed me to understand the reason for each action/decision. Just entering numbers and getting auto-results that I don't understand or agree with is anxiety provoking for me.

Simple in most areas, Confusing in others

I've always thought, and still think, Turbo Tax is a great program. The only area I struggle with each year is the Investment Sales area when stock options are involved (NQSO, RSU's, etc.) when the options "income/compensation" portion is reflected on my employee W-2 info. If the total gross option sales, including shares withheld to pay taxes, are not input correctly, one may end up being taxed TWICE (as investment gain and compensation). The program needs to have "flag" in the review process because entering the sales data wrong is confusing and a larger loss is reflected to account for the taxes already paid, so you aren't double taxed. Anyway, even though I believe I did it correctly, there's no good guidance in the program.
What's great about it: SImple in some areas
What's not so great: Confusing in other areas (Stock Option Sales)

SECTION 179 GLITCH
1099 B ISSUE
457 DEDUCTION ENTERS THEN DROPS OFF WITH NO EXPLANATION
UNCLEAR VERBIAGE ON THIS EDITION
FILING ISSUES I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED
What's great about it: E FILING
What's not so great: GLITCHES GALORE, NOT MAC FRIENDLY

I'm not sure what happened but my auto expenses and depreciation were not apparent for the 2106 form outside of the C schedule like the year before. I could only access it by looking up the form. Further more the estimated tax payments from the year were not a part of Easy Step nor manual.
What's great about it: Fine program, easy e-filing
What's not so great: Easy Steps missed form 2106 that I had filled out preceding year

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10+ years

I currently use Home and Business also Premier. My suggestion is simple currently you can work and save from online to desktop software. Problem is your not always wanting to work online. I would like to see this as a opportunity to have a secure backup of my completed tax return. The desk top software is more flexible as far as options go. when uploading to your my account you would be required to use the secure login process.
I was not aware the work I was doing on my desktop was not updated to the online version? After loosing my computer last year I lost all my data. If it had it been uploaded to TurboTax when I electronic filed I would have had a secure backed up version to work with.
Keep up the great work looking forward to more positive changes.
What's great about it: Excelent Support both Tax knowledge and Software Dev
