Rocked my amount owed to the government

What's great about it: simple and easy to use
What's not so great: easy of going back to a prior category once completed, with Turbo Tax help was able to go back and revise
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

They make it all so easy

For each complex tax situation, TurboTax has broken it down to simple questions that it asks you. Based on your responses, it gets applied to the situation. This is better than having a CPA do your taxes - because you would then be dependent on the CPA's knowledge of that situation.
If TuboTax knows that certain responses are mandatory, it should provide that information at the time of filling that particular form. By the time I get to "Fix Errors", I don't always have the context of the particular form. So, I end up searching - in order to provide an accurate response.
What's great about it: Steer clear of understanding complex tax situations and trust TurboTax to make the right decisions for you
What's not so great: The "Fix Errors" part of the workflow is too cryptic.

TAXES MADE EASY

I've been doing my own taxes for more than 20 years and have been using TuboTax since you came along. The process has gotten easier in the past few years and this year there were few (if any) software glitches! Thank You!. In prior years there would be times when you could not delete a schedule that was no longer needed or you knew how to answer a field but the software wouldn't accept your answer. It is nice to be able to go straight to the forms and fill in the information, but also go step-by-step to see if you might get a credit some where that you weren't aware of.
What's great about it: Fewer Software Glitches
What's not so great: Still too many extraneous Questions

Great to work with

I have been using TurboTax for 11 of the last 12 years. I've always done my own tax filings but since using TTax, it's always a breeze. The application will walk you through all the necessay areas and fill out ALL the forms properly and concisely. The only year in the last 12 I didn't use TTax was when we were trying a "new" business venture to prepare taxes. Needless to say, that didn't work too well and we're BACK!!
What's great about it: ease of use and walk-through all the necessary angles
What's not so great: sometimes explanations get wordy but it can't be helped!

Turbo Tax is easy to use. It gives you two options ...get a guided tour or pick to go straigt into where you want to begin and save time if you are in a hurry. I enjoyed using it the first time. This is my first time usinmg it

Home Business Difficult To Use

I bought home and business because I purchased a home this year. The documentation said I could deducted loan origination expenses, but the program had no way I found to do so. In business for the schedule C there is no way I found for the program to allow me to deduct the simple home office deduction on form 8829, There is a space on the form, but Turbo Tax doesn't allow for its use.
What's great about it: Very Little
What's not so great: Would not let me go back and correct some errors
