Easy and Quick

Overall great
What's great about it: Allowed me to both use the programs assistance and where needed quickly jump ahead.
What's not so great: Somewhat tortuous in providing payment credit card

Smooth and Flexible, Can't Do Without It

TurboTax is better than ever (as a user for >25 years). Can't imagine preparing taxes without it.
Had to locate State tax return instructions outside of TurboTax to understand how to claim a medical expense deduction - confusing because the health insurance premiums shown on Schedule A differ from the actual premiums we paid. After digging into the State instructions, found that the deduction was limited, so the actual value paid didn't matter.

What's not so great: Few detail links for State return, to address complex health premium deductions

Great tool that is always getting better

This is always a dreaded time doing taxes. Turbo Tax makes tax filing a great way to do this dreaded task. I find it easier and easier every year and they make that happen. With the complications that the Federal Government do to the tax system, I can only say that Turbo Tax gets it right all the time. I only wish making one complaint that they would offer this as an online purchase. If they have done this, then I missed it and can find nothing wrong with them at all. Now if we can get the government on board and make taxes less complicated.
What's great about it: Easy to use software
What's not so great: Wish I could purchase this online without getting a software disc
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Love my TurboTax

This is the tenth year I've used TurboTax to do my taxes and it just keeps getting easier every year. Prior years information is seamlessly imported into each years tax return saving time and possible transcribing errors. Couldn't be more happy with my experience (other than not having to do taxes)
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: ItsDeductable-needs updating

Easy as 1-2-3

I have used the TurboTax software now for a good many years and have found that each year the software gets simpler and simpler to use. I also like that for a minimal cost you have the peace of mind to purchase audit representative protection. This is extremely important for me as I have a business and don't want to have any unnecessary headaches that could occur with an audit.
What's great about it: Topics are easily explained and have good croos-references for both as MFJ and my business
What's not so great: I really didn't find any short-comings with the software

Program deleted all my info

I started a return and had to shut down computer for other matters. Couldn't reopen that return when I went back, so I started over, filled out the whole thing, and went to e-file. At that point the program gave me back the partially completed one, and I can't access the one I worked on all day today.
What's great about it: Nothing at the moment
What's not so great: Have to fill the whole thing out a second time

Probably go with another tax program next year.
What's great about it: finally got help! both were good ladies
What's not so great: bought wrong program had to upgrade on line was not good experience.. Help lady was very sociable and informative

Turbo Tax really sucked this time it kept crashing

Program fails to correctly log into last years account. Import crashes Turbo Tax. Frustratingly it would import nothing from my Quickbooks. If I wasn't trying to pay as little as possible I would have just gone to a professional.
What's great about it: very descriptive
What's not so great: kept crashing on talking to website
