OK, I guess

I don't know if it's related to Turbo Tax or to Windows 10, but every time I needed to go to the next step, it would disappear from my monitor and I would need to open TT again. It drove me crazy. I don't know if I will ever use it again, and I've been a TT user for years.
What's great about it: A lot like past years
What's not so great: Crazy feature

2015 Tax Tools

I have been using Turbo Tax now for 5 years and each year the tools improve and make this job very easy. I would guess I spent about 4 hours total on my returns which includes a business and the federal forms for a married couple. I can not image what this process would be like with out the step by step process built into the program. I also used the support hot line and both times I was called back within 45 minutes of asking for help. That team of people were very knowledgeable and helped with all my questions.
What's great about it: Excellent tools and support for doing Fed return
What's not so great: Tools were a little slow this year, might be that I had to much open on my desk top.

user of turbotax for years

For the first time, We have too much contribution to IRA. I clicked yes to both Traditional IRA and Roth IRA for my husband and myself. What happened next shocked me: contribute too much and penalty involved. It turned out our 401 K on W2 showed up here as Traditional IRA purchased extra on top of 401 k, the dollar amount is exactly the same. Therefore we doubled our retirement contribution. Here, a warning should be added: Extra purchase of IRA on top of 401 K. Now I have to amend the previous tax returns.
What's great about it: step by step, covers all
What's not so great: need more warnings

software Works well and support worked well too

Great software. Love having continuity over the years
What's great about it: Software is easy to use. Also support was great help with questions on installment sales
What's not so great: Smart Checks sometimes dont offer too much help.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Still feel like we pay in too much!

When I entered the incomes the system kept asking me to re-enter the info. so ended up with a big refund, and knew that wasn't right. Finally got everything deleted that was duplicated. I'm having cataract surgery, so had a really hard time seeing the screen, and I have a big screen. Hope to have less problems next year.
What's great about it: I probably didn't spend as much as if I took the tax info somewhere.
What's not so great: It isn't as user friendly when you just want to enter the info.

Music to My Ears

Yes, I owe taxes - that is unavoidable. However, having the ability to take care of my own taxes through a reliable digital source makes me feel quite empowered. I had to call twice for information, and the help I got over the phone couldn't have been kinder or more straightforward.
I produce my music digitally, and now I can handle this task - one that many musicians dread - with a breeze, while being able to import the previous year's info along with adding pertinent info for the current.
This is the second year in a row that I've used TurboTax, and I don't foresee any reason to make the switch back.
Now I can get back to making music in order to pay the tax bill ;)
