Pretty good

Have been using TurboTax for nearly a couple decades now. It usually does the job competently.
This year however, there was one issue. It would not let me enter my 1099-Misc that was reported to the IRS by my financial institution. It was profits from various call options, and TurboTax, during the review, flagged a bunch of errors because it was viewing it as business income and insisted on a business name, address, etc... and all those things were totally not applicable.
Even if it is a problem with my financial institution putting this income in the wrong reporting category (which I doubt because they have done the same for years, and it's a huge national inst), TurboTax should have still anticipated that and had that scenario built into their decision tree to put it in wherever it needs to be.
PLEASE FIX that TurboTax. I had to do it in a non-standard (to TurboTax at least) way to get my taxes done, but this wasted 2 or 3 hours to figure out what was going on and a work-around. Not happy about that.
What's great about it: Reliably makes doing fairly complicated taxes on your own possible
What's not so great: Did not have enough guidance on entering 1099-Misc income

EASY PEASY

Doing Taxes at the last minute is SO annoying!! TurboTax made it easy to breeze through the questionairre in a short period of time. LOVE it!!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is a BREEZE to use
What's not so great: Can't think of any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Saves my sanity!

I love Turbo Tax! We have a farm and my hubby used to have his own business. Doing taxes for those things is no fun at all!!! Turbo Tax keeps me from having to rip my hair out or from paying someone to do them for me! It also saved my son last year. He and his grampa did his taxes together. Grampa said he had an earned income credit. We checked it with Turbo Tax and it explained why he didn't! (should go through and check Grampa's sometime!)
What's great about it: Walks me through everything I need to do, without making me a nut case!
What's not so great: A little hard to find some info from past years.

Probllems for Canadian Residents

As a Canadian resident I am exempt from taxes on Social
Security benefits. It is possible to override this, but then I cannot EFile my return.

Easy and Intuitive

Have been a TurboTax user for at least 5 years and would not use another tax preparation software program as this is simple, easy and very intuitive to use.
What's great about it: Simple and intuitive to use
What's not so great: More information on Learn More popups

super easy

I feel its the easiest program out there today with step by step help that even the people like myself who are not great with computers can use
What's great about it: it was just so orginized and easy to go from one thing to another simple for anyone to use
What's not so great: filling this out with nickname is killing me keeps getting declined
