This program is great for a complicated process as taxes. The program runs smooth. I understand what applied and didn't apply. the only thing I would nay say is the scrolling and text style. Very miner but overall grateful.
What's great about it: easy to navigate and adjuste mistakes
What's not so great: feel some discriptions could be better
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Hard to know what the program is doing

For complex returns, it is sometimes difficult to find where the data collected is actually being inserted into the forms. Some data seems to just disappear and I can't tell what the program does with it, or where some numbers actually come from. This is fine for the average person who does not want to know, but if you DO need to know, it is frustrating.
What's great about it: Very good collecting of data
What's not so great: Hard to understand what it DOES with your data
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Keep up the good work, but keep an eye out for bugs. Will use turbo tax next year.
What's great about it: Very efficient user friendly. Phone assitance was professional and helpful with the audit defense roblem.
What's not so great: Went into a panic when the audit defense ling would not work. Started working fine the next day( today) and finished up

Reunited with the irs

When I sat down to do my taxes it was the first time I had to do them in over 15 years because my ,now former, wife had been doing them each year. So I was very stressed and wrote a bad review to Turbo Tax :( So Sorry. I am converted. However I do think it would be an improvement if there were obvious buttons to click to get the picture of the form being completed so I could understand the info being asked better. I found I could go back and forth but I still don't know how I did that ???
What's great about it: wow was able to navigate w/o a lot of homework
What's not so great: I am old getting the format I wanted was challenging

I have used TT for many years and find it super convenient. Once in a while I have a little trouble remembering how to find certain sections/options. Highly recommend.
What's great about it: Good interface
What's not so great: Slightly glitchy with import

In general a good experience

In general, I'm a big fan of Turbo Tax. As a consultant, every year I've had some new situation to address and Turbo Tax has made it pretty easy to deal with each new tax nuance. Then we bought a home and I wondered if I should get an accountant involved, but I decided to try TurboTax again and it wasn't that complicated at all.
My only critique is about Turbo Tax's treatment of asset depreciation--which is a pretty vague if you don't understand tax law--and the fact that if you change home offices mid-year (i.e. if you move), you should be tracking all your business expenses in accordance with which home office you were in when the expense occurred--Turbo Tax doesn't mention that fact until AFTER you've entered all your expenses. What a daunting task to go back through my excel spreadsheets to re-total every expense category based on when it occurred (in order to provide the expense total for Home Office A and the total for Home Office B).
What's great about it: Empowers me to do my taxes on my own
What's not so great: Sometimes confusing
