Simple to use and fast

Taxes are always annoying, but this makes it as fast and painless as possible.
What's great about it: Walked me through the process, was fast

After purchasing software we should not have to pay for a state e-file return.

What's not so great: does not give enough answers and no way to contact a live person

Great Program

TurboTax has "done" my taxes for several years. Their complete knowledge of both my business and personal taxes is superb. I highly recommend this advanced software system for individuals with small businesses and those employed by any company. It could not be more complete, easy to understand or filled with more specific answers to your questions.
The only negative is that this software will not be available for use on Windows XP next year due to security reasons. I believe we, as customers, should decide our level of security. I hope they will reconsider that decision.
What's great about it: Does everything for you ....except earn your income!
What's not so great: No support for Windows XP in 2016

I've used Turbotax for about 20 years. It's familiar but not enjoyable and the small costs add up.
What's great about it: TT is like an ex-girlfriend
What's not so great: charges to e-file in my state even though my state has a free e-file service
Pros: I bought or sold investments

State transfer awkward

I had more problems with this software this year than the 8+ prior years.
What's great about it: Most was straight forward
What's not so great: Transfer of K1 to state was not clear. Not sure if it all populated correctly. Thought I should see an additional form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments, I moved

Negative on Foreign Tax Reporting

I have been using Turbo Tax for years, from when it was MacInTax. It has always worked well for me. Now that you can no longer use "Various" for multiple countries on the Form 1116, it has fallen behind. The Community Support had a work around, but it is very convoluted and difficult to achieve in a "TurboTax is easy to use" manner.
So if you don't have Foreign Income, and multiple countries to report, I would have no hesitation recommending TurboTax to you. If the issue with the Form(s) 1116 isn't fixed, I might suggest you look to find a product that can help you more easily.
What's great about it: I like 99% of Turbo Tax as it is Easy Step helps keep you on track.
What's not so great: Cannot report multiple countries on Form 1116

Went to Business and picked the "Guide me" recommendation but My Business never came up, just Framer stuff only. I went back and pick "I'll explore on my own" recommendation and found my business portion to fill out.. Other than that, Everything worked out just fine....
What's great about it: Very easy to follow
What's not so great: Business was a problem!!!

I absolutely hate doing taxes and having a step by step way to be simpler is much appreciated. When walking through new situations I like being able to click to IRS publications for further detail and to ask help questions of others.
What's great about it: step by step options and way to see resulting forms while working
