Slow but sure

Don't want to think about what this would have been like "the old fashioned way"! Complicated Federal plus state, plus two non-resident states....
Thanks again, TT!!
What's great about it: Exhaustive detail, this year Federal and three states!
What's not so great: Updates painfully slow this year - atypical; took several days to get them all
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easy For Last 8 Years, But One Issue
on April 18, 2016

I've got no complaints on the overall use of TurboTax for Home & Business, and have found it to be much more economical that hiring a CPA. There are some things that you have to learn to get the most out of your return, but there is plenty of help available through the help center, FAQs and support.
The only issue I had this year, is when I traded in a piece of equipment to purchase a new asset. As it stands right now, you have to bounce around the software looking up values and dates to enter what is essentially already there. I think it would be easier to handle if, when entering the new asset, you were just asked to pick from the list of current assets (after selecting the "traded in an old asset" checkbox), enter the new asset's value, and the amount given for the trade, and be done. TT can then use the existing cost and depreciation data to calculate and enter the appropriate information.
What's great about it: Easy and Intuitive Tax Solution
What's not so great: Business Asset Management Can Be Confusing

Not really a complaint, but a (very) minor point of possible improvement. This was really just a small issue that I was able to resolve easily. I was not able to e-file my state return. (Because my state is annoying.) I was expecting that after I e-filed my federal that something would pop up for printing and paper filing the state. Nothing happened. It just told me I was done and brought me to the end. It only caused a moment's confusion, and I was able to easily go back and print the whole return off, but given how hand-holding TurboTax is, I assumed they would have provided that one extra step.
Actual complaint: I had to do taxes. Not really TurboTax's fault, though.
What's not so great: Confusion with filing federal and not state

I have used TT for the last 10+ years and it works great. Will use it again next year. some difficulties in importing my 2014 info into the 2015 return (maybe my own problem rather than the program)
What's great about it: easy to use and asks questions that are necessary for a thorough tax benefit
What's not so great: difficulty in resolving the kf form. still have questions. tt said at end of review not to worry/still have questions

Helps with simple taxes
on April 18, 2016

I had a net operating loss on one of my businesses. I have to fill out additional tax forms to carry it back 2 years. They aren't on TurboTax. I tried looking them up myself. Yuk-oh! It's going to take me forever to finish.
What's great about it: quick & easy
What's not so great: More detailed tax forms you have to do on your own
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good program, but.....

Everything went fine, until the payment process. The fee for efiling was rejected, not my much bigger tax liability payment. It seems as if Intuit could get this worked out. The bank says the address was wrong but intuit doesn't see that.
What's great about it: flags, general ease of putting it all together for a finished product
What's not so great: payment process
