TT 2015 Home & Business

A business sale was not clear and complicated, I had to get live Intuit help and she was great and spent the time to explain every aspect. The cost of filing a state return is too costly considering the up front cost of purchasing the product.
I gave this a 4 only because of the product cost. The product itself technically rates a 5. Very easy to file and use. The self help is also very good.
What's great about it: Assistance from a Live person was a great help.
What's not so great: Cost too much
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Gotta Love Tax Time

TurboTax Home & Business
On the rental property summary page (Rental and Royalty Summary page), I would love a button next to each property which would show me the 2 year summary/detail, so I don't have to cycle through each rental property again to double check my numbers. Each row has an edit and delete button, add a 2 year summary button for easy reviews of data already entered.
Also, you have good information on refis for existing properties. You need better info on acquiring investment properties, giving clear info on how to deduct closing costs, how to factor fix up costs into the basis, factoring land cost for a condo vs. single family home, etc. That's why I buy TurboTax Home & Business to help me manage my rental properties.
What's great about it: Doing my own taxes
What's not so great: Need a quick summary of each rental property
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This was 10 years in row with Turbo Tax. Clear navigation through the tax complexities of a home-based business.
What's great about it: Thorough. Options on how to move through the areas.
What's not so great: Fee for State e-file

i was not eligible for higher education credits and somehow I ended up having to over ride qualified expense to avoid having to count 529 distribution as income. It took awhile to figure out.
What's great about it: Program walks you through, holding your hand as you go!
What's not so great: Some of the Higher Education credit options are unclear

I like the program and it works well. Unfortunately marketing/advertising misled me to thinking I purchased a version that included the cost of state e-filing. It includes one state but that doesn't mean the cost of filing one state. Sure would be nice if things were as they should be and not designed to tell you at the last moment you are going to be charged another quarter of the original cost of the software.
What's great about it: logical sequence and allows form view
What's not so great: state file charge

No Form for State

I have used TTax for over ten years and this is the worst I have seen it. Too many issues to deal with to make it worth using next year. I would rather pay a tax professional.
What's great about it: Easy to use but more bugs than normal
What's not so great: No CD-5 Form for WV
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
