Gets Better Every Year

I have used Turbo Tax Home and Business for more years than I can remember. They software (credit to the Engineers, Programmers, and Accountants) keeps me on track, accurate and able to file a complete return on time with minimum fear of audit. As a former public employee I do not mind paying my taxes, but no one want's to pay to much. GREAT WORK INTUIT?
What's great about it: Allows me to go back and forward as I review my input data
What's not so great: None thaT are worth considering.

My taxes so easy

I really liked the help section. answered all my question and then showed me where to enter my deduction and whether the IRS alowed it or not.
What's great about it: step by step made easy to find what qualifies as a deduction
What's not so great: can think of anything i didnt like

Did 3 Federal returns, 2 states, extension

I've used TTax for several years now. This year I did our taxes, our daughters taxes and my mother in laws taxes. All three very different tax situations, in two different states. TTax makes it really easy.
Used TTax a few years, then had a professional do our taxes one year, and the professional did not find any deductions or other tax situations that TTax did not find. So back with TTax.

What's great about it: Easy to use. Question and answer format makes it simple. Easy to bounce between questions and forms.
What's not so great: Filing for an automatic extension was just a litlte confusing. Could have been me.

No Longer Impressed

2015 Home & Office miserable experience compared to many past years. Inconsistent "path" of walkthru--either when double checking a section or starting after stopping-- encountered new sets of questions/new or different subsets-- confusing, not instill confidence. Underscored by cumbersome, limited ability to monitor overall status of return as input info, Lack better explanation-- compared to past experience, program feels sloppy, almost lazily put together. Again, in past-- amount, depth and clarity of help/tips (and pertinence) within the program incredible, appreciated and much used. This year help very limited, quickly passed off to IRS-- rabbit holes of Publications/Instructions or Intuits invariably useless on-line help. Perhaps TurboTax has skewed my expectations, it's only tax program I have used. Never get around tedious aspect of Tax prep. Yet, in the past, once return complete, impressed that TurboTax could make process fairly painless. This year felt muddled throughout-- that's tedious and painful. Regret speak only of feelings and lack knowledge to explain or detail how program has changed. On face of it--looks and acts much the same. But feels like the solid core has been ripped out and replaced w/ a cheap knock-off.
What's not so great: Inconsistent Walk-thru, Confusing/limited help, Difficult to monitor Over-all Status as input

Deleting erroneous entry

In deleting entries with respect to income, I had to do it several times for it to take effect. Not as good as usual for Turbo Tax.
Format this year was a bit hard to follow. Had trouble getting back to business expenses and related documents. Understanding the taxable portion of my Social Security proved impossible. Some easy to read explanations of the calculations would be helpful

What's great about it: I liked the question format
What's not so great: I had to delete some entries multiple times. Did not take the first time.
