Turbo Tax is so easy to use. All I had to do was answer some questions, fill in a few numbers and Turbo Tax took care of everything. What a relief!
What's great about it: Easy to use, know my taxes are done correctly
What's not so great: None!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

1040X Error Problem

I filed an original return and made an entry error on taxes withheld on a 1099R. It showed that I owed $1008.00. I did a 1040X Amendment and it showed that I would receive a refund of $1550.00 with the correction. The problem is on the 1040A attached to the 1040X shows that I want a refund of $542.00 instead of the correct number of $1550.00. The $542.00 is the difference of the original amount and the new refund. It should have shown on the 1040A that I wanted a refund of $1550.00. Please check your software and correct this problem.
What's great about it: OK on original return.
What's not so great: Calculation Error on 1040X

TurboTax Is So Reliable

Have used TurboTax for years and have always found it relatively easy to understand and use to file state and federal taxes
What's great about it: easy to use no matter how life changes

Long time TurboTax fan

I've been using TurboTax to prepare my tax returns for many years. I have always been impressed on how easy it is to use and how in-depth the interview process is. It seems to cover all of the circumstances relating to my income and expenses, it searches for deductions that I would never have thought of and the review and filing process is very straight forward.
What's great about it: Keeps track of all previous years data and automatically transfers to current year's return. Step-by-step process
What's not so great: Some confusion on which product/program to buy.

Long time user of Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for many years, with complete confidence that my return will be accurate and meet IRS regulations and laws.
What's great about it: Great, has improved every year for at least 20 years.
What's not so great: Can't find any negative comments.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: really easy to use
What's not so great: this year, the update portion of the program sucked. I had to call and was on the phone 3 hours with a great tech

My first experience of filing my own

This was my first time using Turbo Tax Home & Business. I have a very small business and my tax preparer retired so I thought I could do it by myself this year. It was set up simple enough to follow and I compared my lines to those of last year filed. I feel successful and would recommend this to anyone who can follow directions. It helps to have everything you need gathered and at your fingertips when you are ready to complete your filing.
What's great about it: Answer by question was very easy with hints too
What's not so great: Hard to find the place when I had to correct something
