I couldn't carry over personal info or income data from TurboTax 2014. I used to be able to do this, and it saved a lot of time. (This is typical when software is "improved"--it just gets harder or more time conuming to use)

My family has used Turbo Tax for several years now and I assume we will continue for years to come.
What's great about it: easily navigated back and forth between business and home information
What's not so great: price??

Not as Good as Last Year, But Still Helpful

I have been a Turbo Tax user now for over 15 years. I have seen the program go from decent to user friendly. Unfortunately, this year I encountered a decline in the quality of the program, which forces me to only give it 4 Stars instead of 5. This year (unlike last year) I was repeatedly asked to input common information (like the Mortgage Principle amount) in three different places - under my business, spouse's business, and under Personal - instead of the program automatically placing that info into the appropriate spaces, as it did last year. This was very frustrating and annoying, and frankly unnecessary with current software capability. I hope that Intuit will realize its mistake and return to its usual high standards. Otherwise, the program ran similar to last year which was overall a basically good experience.
What's great about it: Walks you through step-by-step, links on topics to explore more if desired
What's not so great: Continued to ask for the same info over and over, It's Deductible more frustrating than its worth

This is just as easy to me as gathering up all my stuff and taking it to someone else to do. The hardest part for me is finding all of the receipts. The easy part is putting in the numbers it asks for on Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: You don't have to pay someone to do a job you can do
What's not so great: You must be able to read and understand small print

Generally Awesome!

I use TurboTax because it makes my return process quick and easy year after year. --- So well, bad news first: This year they required me to verify my email address in order to login to my account. BIG problem, their email/automated system would NOT WORK and before "whipping through" my taxes like I usually can it took me hours and hours and hours on the phone with their tech support person who could not get me logged in to my account either. He could not do it manually for me, nor could he reset my account so I could get in, nor could he get their BROKEN VERIFICATION SYSTEM to work. NONE of which was the techs fault. You would think that this VERY important system on the last weekend of tax season would actually have been checked and working!!! So the tech had to reset my email address to one I did not even want to use then told me that would take up to 24 hours, the system said it would take maybe even 48 hours. All this just so I could download my product I paid for 6 mos. ago in November!!! --- Thank my heavenly Father, that I clicked on it for text notifications during that process, so then I could verify my email instantly and not wait the 24-48 hours after all the time on the phone too!!! Hope they fix this soon. ---- Okay, now to the GOOD news: Using the product was great as it always is. I use the Home/Business version on a Mac. Have been using it every year since 2009. It's easy because it walks me through everything I need or want to do. Gives me options, but I can let it automate a lot of processes if desired as well. I can stop right in the middle of something, save and then pick up the process right back where it left off as often as needed. I had a life-change event a couple of years ago that completely changed how and what I file and i KNOW i can trust TurboTax to get it all correct and for my best interest no matter what!!! The IRS filing process is quick and easy too. --- I just wonder why, when I pay for the Federal version and get the free State filing part of the app that I have to pay to file my state return when people who use the system online entirely for free, get to file their state returns for free???
What's great about it: Prompting me to go through everything I needed to... deductions, forms, expenses, income, etc.
What's not so great: Security check to login to my account would not send out the email to me so I could not log in to my account.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I find TurboTax to be extremely easy to use and with helpful explanations. The Audit Risk Gauge provides comforting reassurance.
What's great about it: Sailed through the input; like the easy reference explanations
What's not so great: Would like to see side by side comparison of prior year Forms
