Makes an unpleasant task tolerable & less stress

Using Turbo Tax since 1997 and what a blessing & time saver it is! Doing my Dad's business taxes & hundreds of complex investments, I have to be saving hundreds of dollars doing it myself. Being able to download employer & Investment firm tax forms is so awesome!
What's great about it: Being able to download tax info from employers & Investment firms
What's not so great: None, really.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Everything in one place. Easy to read, quick answers to any questions or directed to other avenues. Easy access to multiple forms. Like the ability to pause or stop and come back to where we left off.
What's great about it: Thorough, questions answered
What's not so great: Still too many forms

Simply the Best!!

I have been using Turbo Tax for many many years and love it!! It's easy to use, thorough and when I complete my complicated tax returns, I feel confident that they are done right! Thanks so much!!
What's great about it: Walking me through my returns step by step, so I don't miss any deductions or requirments.
What's not so great: Nothing!

Disappointed

I've used TurboTax for nearly a decade. I'm deeply offended that I had to pay additional money to amend a 2014 return. And the cost of e-filing a state return is ridiculous. Moreover, I found the 2015 version of TT to be less intuitive and more cumbersome than before. In assigning letter grades, I'd give you a C- or D+.
What's great about it: Few

if your records are in good order filing is very fluid

Finished at the last minute

Did not wish to use the online version, used to getting a CD disk, but was forced to use download version, which worked fine once installed. However, there was confusion over start-up between downloaded and online versions, not good.
What's not so great: had difficulty getting the program downloaded

very poor and lacking documentation & explanations

I don't know where to begin. We filed a Schedule F for our farm. We were extremely disappointed in the lack of available (clickable) explanations. It was also maddening that your software computes subtotals and total, that don't reflect the worksheets that were just completed. That reflects a poor subject understanding by your programmers and it is obvious they also were in a big rush to get this software on the market.
They also misused key legal terms and concepts related to Vermont's property tax laws - that caused undo confusion.
What's great about it: uploaded last year's data
What's not so great: very poor and lacking documentation & explanations
