Time Saving Program!

I have used Turbo Tax for greater than 10 years now. It has Saved me numerous dollars - both in Refunds generated and in outside Tax Preparer fees not needed.
I have my employment income, rental property, a child and volunteer activities and donations.
I appreciate that it will walk me through all of the options by using Guide Me - and yes it does take some time to skip the ones you don't need - but well worth it with finding ones that you didn't know existed. Sincerely, SAS in Texas

What's great about it: Guide me through it! You don't miss options available.
What's not so great: Wish 1099 expense sections was easier to find

Great experience using 2015 TurboTax!

This experience was a positive one that only consumed about two hours total. However, there was a snafu with home office deduction. Despite saying we had no such office we still had to load a lot of information into the worksheet before the program determined there was no deduction. This was only a small issue. The filing was easy, as well as the entry of required data. Recommended!
What's great about it: Very simple to use and user friendly. Guides one through the process quickly and efficiently.
What's not so great: Some small snafu with business expenses

Easy To Do Small Business

I first did an excel spreadsheet with all the business stuff and then was easily able to answer the questions

Things could be a little clearer...

For the most part Turbo Tax Small Biz is easy to use. I think if they had more examples in expense categories it would help. And clearer answers on depreciation.
I was going to purchase Audit Defense but read awful reviews about it on the internet. I hope Turbo Tax improves in this area and I would then definitely purchase it every year.
What's great about it: Fairly simple
What's not so great: Some of the biz wording gets complicated....too IRSey

the program for entering K-1 was very complex. and it took longer to do the K-1 than all of the forms for fed and state combined. nomenclature in the instructions used different terminology than the K-1 instructions from the companies issuing them. The retirement contribution is also confusing as I made a contribution with my Schd C then later was asked what I was doing regarding a contribution for an IRA. it should have explained if done with Schd C then don't do it again. Further the tax was more difficult as last year data was not found even though I filed through Turbo Tax. There fore I had to type all data in again for this year.
What's great about it: I like using turbotax but some parts need improvement.
What's not so great: The program is very difficult to use for entering k-1 fillings.

Solid as usual

Thoroughly checks each section of tax process. Easy to follow instructions. Online help.No major changes in year to year programs makes subsequent years easier for doing taxes due to the familiarity.
What's great about it: easy step through process
What's not so great: Had to loop back and search on how to apply refund to next year's tax
